Ran the file showed same error.Ĭase-3: I wanted to install Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition and try, but on your site I don't see a link to download one for windows. Ran the file showed the above error.Ĭase-2: Installed Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition and also installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition. Please see attachmentĬase-1: Installed Parallel Studio XE Professional 2015 Edition. They suggested to go for specific version. I always got an error message in Abaqus as follows Ībaqus JOB exa_hydfractureAbaqus 6.14-2Abaqus License Manager checked out the following licenses:Abaqus/Standard checked out 5 tokens from Flexnet server Compiling Abaqus/Standard User Subroutines 10:35:34 PM'ifort' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.Abaqus Error: Problem during compilation - exa_hydfracture.fAbaqus/Analysis exited with errorsĪbaqus people say that it due to some problem with Fortran installed. Please see a snapshot attached to this comment. And hence I was asking for a older version as Abaqus experts confirmed only that particular one to be compatible. Hence you saw phrases in my comments like "Abaqus doesn't like".

I am a Petroleum Engineer, who rather wants to look into the application side of software in my field instead of trying different things. Thanks for your comments, suggestions and recommendations. We purchased above fortran compiler package in 2011, I have been using it no issue until I replaced the old laptop with a new one, then I tried to install this.

Many of these doubts would be resolved more effectively in an Abaqus users' forum rather than here. With a correct and complete specification, it may be possible to verify that the DLL works correctly without having Abaqus installed. I have neither searched for nor have seen such a specification. There ought to be a specification for DLL routines that are suitable for use with Abaqus. For product and where to buy information, see the Intel® Composer XE product page.
Intel visual fortran composer xe 2011 not installing upgrade#
Intel does not offer an upgrade to add IMSL to an already-purchased product. Both editions include the latest version of Intel MKL. I don't know, and it may be necessary to have Abaqus installed to obtain a definite answer. Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011 is available in two editions, with IMSL and without IMSL. The next question is whether that DLL will work with Abaqus. Almost any Windows Fortran compiler can produce the requisite DLL - I built the DLL using (i) IFort 15.0.4 and (ii) Silverfrost FTN95 7.2, in both cases without using Visual Studio, using command line tools only. If your goal is to generate DLLs from Fortran source code such as the source for an example umat.f at the end of the page , you do not need Visual Studio or any specific version of Intel Fortran. Perhaps you do not recognize that most of us here are not Abaqus users I know next to nothing about Abaqus. Having seen the two threads that you originated regarding using IFort with Abaqus (the present one and ), I think that all this is "much ado about nothing". I tried to Install Intel Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition 2015 (Latest one) and found that Abaqus does not like it and hence was trying to get the specific version mentioned above!
